In the beginning…

One January evening in 1988, Neil Swanson invited a group of carriage driving enthusiasts to a meeting with the object of starting a harness club. A club that would bring many people together across the Hampshire and Wiltshire areas and a club that would cater for all levels. From juniors to seniors and from pleasure drivers to serious competitors – everybody was welcome and this is how the White Horse Harness Club was born.Club_Logo

The clubs values are all based on our love of the sport. We live for it and want to share our passion by encouraging juniors, novices and those new to carriage driving to learn from our members and most importantly we all want to have a laugh along the way.

Live.  Learn.  Laugh.

Over the years the Club has gone from strength to strength and is now rated among the top driving clubs in the country. We hold a variety of indoor and outdoor events throughout the year across one or two days including inside-out events, training days, talks and demonstrations. We’re also very proud to hold our annual 2-day Regional Qualifier at our beautiful Redenham Park home grounds in Andover – with the kind permission of Lady Clark.Redenham Park

We are fully committed to maintaining our club to the standards and values it was founded upon and would like to welcome anyone to join us and help us ensure our club, the White Horse Harness Club, continues to grow and flourish long into the future.
