WHAT DO YOU DRIVE?
Georgia, a New Forest pony, 14.2HH Bay Roan, 6 years old.
IN THE BEGINNING…
I started driving in 2005 when I had my first pony Topper broken to drive.
WHY CARRIAGE DRIVING?
I took up carriage driving as I was struggling to comfortably ride due to leg bruising. With a bit of help from the Student Loan I brought my first carriage and a big trailer and entered my first event and as everyone was so welcoming and friendly I became addicted!
So many… from Steve Lucas driving us round our first event and tipping me up in a portaloo… helping and learning with Team Fenix… meeting new friends… and having fun with my sister. And that one time when we didn’t know the rules and went as fast as possible around the whole obstacle section of Killerton Marathon!
YOUR FAVOURITE PHASE?
I love the marathon it makes a 2-day event, the fun in walking obstacles and making competitive decisions and getting air over the unexpected bumps on the course.
Find a good backstepper and enjoy it.
BACK @ THE YARD
There is a ginger youngster Ruby back at the yard waiting to come out and play.
TEA OR COFFEE?
Coffee, strong, white and sweet like my boyfriend!
IN THE LORRY PARK
Find us at our white Pegasus trailer with a tent nearby – unless we are sleeping in the trailer!
IF IT WAS POSSIBLE…
I’d buy a new Fenix carriage marathon vehicle and my groom would like backstepper competition!
